Wicksteed

Wicksteed Park

When we went to Wicksteed park on Wednesday 7th December, I filmed Charlie, Archie, Lewis and myself, playing around, having fun at Wicksteed park. I did this to experiment with editing videos. We didn't have a story line so it is just a montage of everyone having fun at Wicksteed Park. I filmed lots of short clips so  I could add them all together at the end. So after I had filmed all the footage while we were there, I chose the best parts of the videos and create a practice music video.

For our trip out to Wicksteed park we planned to go Wednesday 7th of December or Friday 9th of December so we looked at the weather to pick the best day. However when we looked at fridays weather it said cloudy with partial chance of rain. Wednesday however said cloudy then brightening up in the afternoon. So we decided to go Wednesday after looking at the weather.

On Wednesday the 7th of December during our double media lesson we will be taking a trip to Wickstead park in Kettering. I plan to take location shots and example shots for my music video, I will also take pictures of my cast for my cast profiles.

Here is my cast, I have used my media class because they were all willing to be in the music video and they know more about what I need to film. So then they will be more helpful in doing what I ask them to do for my music video. So I made a slideshow of my cast members.

Camera Work

Camera work change:

At first I was going to film the music video, like an ordinary video. From the point of view of the audience and the actors act like the camera isn't filming them.

However I wanted my music video to be different to all of the other music videos. So I am now going to film my music video from the point of view of one of the actors, so the actors seem more relaxed and the whole video seems like it will connect with the audience more. Hopefully the audience will be more interested in the video because they seem to connect more with the video when it is in the point of view of a person.

I have decided to add more questions to my questionnaire because I think that I needed more questions to get some better overall answers.

I will also have the respondents answer the questionnaire on an individual basis, as I thought that if they were in a group then they might talk about their answers then I would get the same responses rather than different individual ones.

Here is a questionnaire template I have created and I will ask all age groups, male and female to get good all rounded results, most of the people I will ask will be in my target audience however. My target audience is 15-21 year olds, male and female.

Music Video Trial

Music Video: 

We made a 1 minute music video we filmed it all at school, it took an hour and a half to film and edit it. 
The theme was friendship. We filmed two friends at the beginning and two more friends joined them in the end.

We used many shots, like; close up, extreme long shot, long shot and high angle shots.

The editing was used to stitch all of the clips together. We cut most of the shots so only the best parts were used. We also used slow motion on a little part of one of the clips. 

The sound was just a sound track used in the background, the track was called 'I'll be there for you' by the Rembrands. 

This was all films around the school and on the school field.

This was just a trial and experiment for us a a group to do, so we can get used to filming and editing music videos.

Target Audience

My target audience is 15-21 year olds. As the song represents young people on holiday, having fun in summer.

Typical 16 year old:
Female: A typical 16 year old girl likes to go shopping and hang out with friends. They usually like to get their hair and nails done. They usually like to watch reality tv programs, they spend a lot of time on social media and taking pictures with their friends.

Male: A typical 16 year old boy likes to play football and hang out with friends. They usually watch sports on tv and don't spend as much time on social media as girls do. They usually prefer to play on their Playstations and Xbox's, they also connect with their friends and play online together.

Typical 21 year old:
Female: A typical 21 year old female likes to go shopping with their friends, go on day trips with friends, go to concerts and go on holidays with friends. They spend a lot of their time working and earning money as they want to save up money so they can go to lots of places. They also spend a moderate amount of time on social media as they have lots of other things to do in the day as, go to work.

Male: A typical 21 year old male likes to go on holiday with his friends and spend a lot of time with his car, as he will modify it to how he likes it. They spend a lot of time with their friends and they also spend a lot of time working to earn money to go on holiday and to modify their car. They also only spend a moderate amount of time on social media they will also spend a smaller amount of time on their Playstations and Xbox's than a 16 year old would as they spend a lot of time working and earning money.

CD Cover Ideas

CD Ideas:

I have thought of some picture ideas which I could use for my album cover. I have found some example picture on the internet. 

I liked the idea of a silhouette of a couple but my picture would be more of their faces. 








Another idea was to take a picture of the couple on a beach having fun together.

I like both these ideas, so I may use both but for different things.

CD Album Cover Inspiration

CD Inspiration

I have been finding some inspiration for my CD album cover. This is what I have found:

This album cover is bold, simple, but affective. It is a simple picture of Selena Gomez with a photoshopped background and photoshopped lips. This is the emphasise the title of the album, kiss and tell. The writing is simple too there is no confusing hard to read writing, it is simple and bold. The colours which have been used show different things, black shows mystery, the pinks and greens show the flirtatiousness of her. Pink is a girly colour which shows that she is very feminine. The greens and pink sin the background seem to represent the colours of flowers, and flowers is another very feminine object.

This is a very simple CD cover this is all photoshopped. The background is of a yellow, slightly blood splattered wall. The guns are symmetrical and have bullet shells sticking out of the barrel of the guns. This shows that something simple can make a point. The guns link in well as the album is called Devils Gun. Where the safety of the gun is, it looks as if there is a devil head, just below the title of the CD.

This is a very busy picture as there are many colours involved in the picture and the colours take over James Blunt's clothes hair and eyes. There is also a lot of writing involved as it is a platinum edition and limited edition. The album is called I'll Take Everything and that is shown by the pictures of stars in space which is showing everything, like everything in space.

Intro:

First we are looking at the requirements for the unit G324. Then I can choose what I would like to do for this unit. I have looked at three which I would like to choose from.
